If someone is looking to move up as a Vet Assistant, it's a good place to start without having to have any experience. The pay is good and the job itself is usually not too daunting. The benefits are awesome if you own pets, such as most services are covered under associate wellness plans.
No matter how nice or hard working you are, you will always be seen as just a number to corporate, which means your value as a worker is based on the percentage of wellness plans you sell. Also anyone and everyone comes to Petsmart so you are getting anyone and everyone coming to Banfiled so the business is prone to rude clients. About 50% of the staff are rude and need every excuse to bully the less knowledgeable.
Advice to Management
Management should be looking out for their staff. There has been dishonesty and manipulation for personal gain. I applied for this job because I want to work with animals and I have ended up having to protect myself against people. Keeping the practice mangers accountable is a must.
