I have been working at Bank of America full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

big company which gives you opportunity to move around, good benefits, sales goal are not as aggressive as in other banks.

    Cons

-they keep on downsizing the staff. some branches have gone from 6 teller FTE to 2.5 FTE there is literally more managers than tellers. -work week begins on saturday; so if you get a saturday off, you will have to work mon-sat without any overtime. -you can only take vacation in 1 week blocks (no more or less) and you are forced to choose all of your weeks at the begining of the year and picking order is based on seniority, new employees pick last (and the the crappy weeks). -and the one that almost made me quit: commission for retail banking is 100% discretionary (meaning they can take it all away) last querter i sold 124% to goal and made $1600, my manager took $750 away for not executing all the right behaviors (yet a hit 124% to goal) then when my check comes i only got $140. -my manger and his manger said that this was a mistake and it would be fix. after 3 weeks of waiting and being told that "it had been escalated" the market manager came and basically told me i was SOL and there was nothing they could do to get me the rest of my money.

    Advice to Management

come down to the banking centers see what it's really like.
