I worked at Bank of America as a contractor for less than a year

    Pros

It was a work from home job, so the dress code, commute were great!! - Of course this was all done for cost savings reasons, so....

    Cons

Some of the personnel, they acquired from Countrywide were used to very little documenting and things done on an informal basis. As a result when they got to Bank of America, and they realized they had to sign off on approvals in a more formal basis, this got to be a real big problem and it could halt the work you were trying to do.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Think twice, three times, even four times before you decide to buy another company. Take a really, really good look at their procedures. The take over of Countrywide by Bank of America has been called the worst corporate take over/acquisition in modern Corporate memory by the Wall Street Journal... given all of the problems, fine and public relations problems this has caused.
