Bankers Life has legitimate, respectable leadership, industry-leading training, a proven sales system and an inspirational vision for success that starts with providing opportunities and rewards for its agent force. Couple that with uncapped commission potential and life-changing quarterly bonus opportunities, plus many other incentives; sales professionals with a mindset for success can and will excel at Bankers Life. In comparison to other companies with whom I've been employed in sales careers, Bankers Life provides a structure to help agents align the business with their personal goals. From my experiences, I've observed that people who succeed believe in themselves and execute their personal plans in a way that leverages Bankers Life's sales systems and tools. The only "cons" lie in the uncertainties that are traditionally associated with sales careers and/or starting one's own business. Agents must produce sales to earn a living, which was an uncertainty for me just like all others when I started in 2012. Despite uncertainties and not much market or industry familiarity, I succeeded by partnering with other agents and establishing mentors in order to become self-sufficient, front-loading my efforts during my first 3 months. Bankers Life also provides incentives for veteran agents to work with new agents, so I'm now paying it forward and receiving incentives for helping new agents, which is great! Sales professionals who have ever felt hindered by commission ceilings will likely be a great fit at Bankers Life, which has no ceiling.
