    I have been working at Barco full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

    Very good benefits, flexible, and good vacation. Opportunities exist to do many things and learn even more. Great employees for the most part. Has a very positive outlook and lots of room for growth. Good for those that like some travel. Awesome technology that is fun to see and work with.

    Cons

    Although company likes to give and encourage time off work load and perceived expectations does not really lend to it. Status quo and good ol boy system is hard at work. It is difficult and time consuming to bring new ideas and changes. Has the feeling of cronyism at times and very "political". Rules are not followed and exceptions seem to rule. Expects that after being trained you are the "expert"

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Listen and go to the employees for more knowledge, employees are awesome for the most part. Set up rules and guidelines to be followed by all and stop with all the exceptions. Quit making some divisions out like golden children and others as the step child. Put more focus on OJT and less on powerpoint training.
