I worked at Bard full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The people are overall very friendly and easy to work with. It's a very nice suburban environment. The company is also growing.

    Cons

Divisions are run very seperately. There's not always a clear definition for how HQs fits into the division or helps them. Growing parts of the company can experience frequent changes in strategy which can result in groups growing or disappearing very frequently.

There is also a sort of global HR structure that develops people and helps them to grow. You really have to be able to defend yourself and your career to get where you want to be, more than at other companies I've seen.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Mid-level management and higher does not seem very collaborative and certainly does not have each other back. The defensive politics can be a bit overwhelming at times.
