Stay in your cage and be quiet

I worked at Barksdale as a contractor for less than a year

    Pros

I got paid for all of the hours I worked.

    Cons

The work was something I was intrinsically good at, so I was always very far ahead of schedule and actively learning new skills within the company. Because of all the free time I allotted myself by finishing my work up to 4 weeks ahead of schedule (on top of the 2 weeks they wanted), they were eager to train me. There was one big problem, however. I got out of my seat to get water/coffee and go to the bathroom "too much". Despite all I was able to prove to the company about my capabilities, they thought it was more important that I stay in my seat and be quiet. Good choice, lady.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Your work environment is stale and borderline nepotistic. The age of keeping employees in cages and telling them to keep quiet and get back to work is over. Try to be a little nicer.
