They are really flexible with your schedule when you are up front with them about it. If you show a good work ethic and eagerness to go above what you are asked to do then you will be able to be promoted up quite quickly.
Benefits are average and compensation for the work they ask you to do is sub-par. Discipline at the store level is lacking and when they have employees who are not meeting the standards the company sets forth they shift the burden onto the employees that do what they need to do instead of dismissing the employees that are not meeting those standards and those employees that have to do more to pick up the slap are poorly rewarded for their efforts. Also it seems that corporate management is very out of touch with how a store is run on a daily basis and puts regulations in place that, on paper seem well thought out but in practice is not very practical.
Advice to Management
Higher pay for management is a must and adding in incentives and/or bonuses to veteran cashiers and management would go a long way to showing that corporate management really does wish to reward their employees for going above and beyond to help the company thrive.
