    I worked at Bayer MaterialScience as an intern for less than a year

    Pros

    I worked in the Baytown facility in Texas. They were very safety conscious. Most of the engineering employees there really loved the job, the same can't be said about the more blue collar workers. I found most of the engineering jobs to be mostly desk jobs, but I only got to experience a small part of the plant.

    Cons

    The jobs (from what I could tell) were very low key and didn't involve very much interaction with others. Boring might be a good word to describe it. Before the internship ended, they were very optimistic about us being given full time offers if we did a good job, but this only happened for 2 people at a different facility.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Value your interns more, give interns a more diverse task, and ensure that HR has full time positions to offer deserving interns
