I have been working at Bed Bath & Beyond full-time (More than 8 years)

Benefits, convenient to work, salary, discount. Fast pace environment, some good co-workers, large selection of retail and product knowledge keeps it interesting. Have developed great customer relations over the years who will ask for me specifically to resolve any issue or need assistance. Love working in retail. However, customer's for this area are very 'special" as we call them.

Upper management makes business decisions based on personal discrimination. By all means...let a department not only drown but lose tons of money based on the idea that they must make excuses for a bad political move in the first place. Constantly flipping new unexperienced associates hoping to increase a falling penetration over the years... when the solution is right there in front of them. This kind of management or behavior in life is called insanity. Doing the same behavior over and over again with the same results. Nothing, except frustrated customers, a shabby looking department, and Lost Profits !! Thank Goodness these same people aren't CFO, CEO of any major company. There'd be no stocks...

    Advice to Management

Read the snap shot, look BEYOND the bad political decisions of the past, make a logical business decision on making money verses listening to excuses and cover ups hoping the problem will go away. This whole region needs a face lift.
