    I have been working at Bell and Howell full-time (more than 10 years)


    Very stable, team-oriented staff, interesting & challenging work.


    No raises, benefit cuts, no 401K match since 2008. Prior to 2008 raises were historically weak (<4% typ.) due to "business conditions", but company is very fond of handing out "VP' and "Director" titles, presumably with commensurate pay increases.

    Upper management is historically unstable: prone to go charging off after the next "big shiny thing", C-suite rotates every 18 mos or so, proclaims re-invention and forgets everything their predecessor said or did. The staff doesn't forget and has little respect or faith in mgmt.

    Since bankruptcy and buyout by holding company, company has been largely rudder-less. Would not recommend employment- not worth the stress and disappointment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Company requires a real leader- has had many technically proficient C's, but an effective and charismatic leader is needed.

    Company says "our employees are our biggest asset" , but actions undermine the words, credibility not found.
