    Pros

    There is some autonomy in how to approach and resolve everyday problems, which if you are self driven can allow you to be creative in your approach and in learning different areas of the business. The company is establishing standard operating procedures and training to be more effective.

    Cons

    There have been attempts to engage employees through surveys and onsite visits. The feedback is not being used to drive roles and responsibilities for the front line. Employees are asked to take on areas that should be centralized and supported in corporate, with minimal training. This impacts our ability to provide customer support. In addition the company has been rolling out programs that are call center centric while not having a call center support model. This has impacted morale and ability of the managers to focus employees in areas of strength. No work life balance or workload balance.

    Advice to Management

    Align your actions with your words. Listen to what people are telling you and incorporate into the products, services and support DNA of the company. Need to rethink support structure and true ability to be successful. Currently your employees are overworked, disillusioned and lack organizational trust. Managers are in the middle trying to provide support to the teams while also accomplishing deliverables that are often a duplication of process, unrealistic, drives more work without obvious benefits to client or support teams. Many of the employees hold us responsible for the environment even though they are driven top down and we have very little control. Being named Benefitmall we expect affordable Benefits and this is not the case. Focus on providing affordable Benefits and either provide more employer funding to HSAs or lower the deducatables and monthly cost.
