We get to be creative and implement new ideas. The environment is laid back and our coworkers are great!
Salary for internal moves is poor. We need to pay the internal candidate what the role is worth. Not doing this will continue to feed the perception that associates are underpaid. It will also increase attrition as associates will leave for external opportunities where they will be paid market rate.
Advice to Management
Each role should have a salary range. The candidate (internal or external) should be placed in that salary range. The internal candidate should NOT be held back based on what they are currently making or what they received at annual review.
