I have been working at Benjamin Moore full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Great products and decent benefits. Iconic brand. Can be a company that you are proud to work for. Honesty and integrity used to mean something a few years ago.

    Cons

Too many self-promoting idiots in positions as managers and directors. Not good for morale. The hiring and career promotions of individuals have been awful in the past few years. Too many ridiculous programs that hurt or undermine our dealers business and profits. They celebrate and pat people on the back who lie about sales or steal sales from others. Complicated programs that produce horrible results are created to secure jobs for the companies inept personnel. People in positions that are not qualified to sell used cars. Competition is eating our lunch.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

We did something right for most of the 130+ years. Too many incompetent people stirring the pot on all levels. Treat employees with dignity and empower them to do the right thing to build this business back. Listen to your dealers. Hats off to Mike Searles for opening his eyes. I hope he makes some changes at the top to repair the damage done.
