I have been working at Best Buy full-time (more than an year)

Many of the lower paid employees you meet here are amazing people. I became friends with nearly everyone in the store within 6 months and we have a large store. Getting to learn about new devices was always exciting.

Many of the managers don't know anymore about the company than just sell everything. Sales managers don't know how to attach protection to items, inventory managers don't know how to change fulfillment options on orders, and the GM doesn't even know when a new device is being announced/released. All they are there for is to remind everyone to sell everything all day every day. Also, don't become too good at what you do here. If you regularly have good numbers, then they have you fix more issues and work harder for the same pay as those that call out regularly and can always be found sitting around in the break room.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Learn that a company can't run on a manager making $80k+ a year while you pay the actual hard workers only $9/hour. The managers don't do enough for the pay difference. Learn your system, keep things more consistent, and actually pay your reliable employees rather than telling them to work harder every day but giving only a 10 cent raise on their yearly.
