    I have been working at Beyond.com full-time

    Pros

    Benefits are decent, stocked kitchen for drinks and snacks, ability to work from home due to inclement weather etc. For the most part everyone is great to work with, and direct management is supportive of ideas and welcomes/appreciates hard work and contributions. You do have freedom to take ownership of projects and can move up in career in that sense/gain experience (but this does come at a price).

    Cons

    For a tech company, capabilities are pathetic. You have new ideas, and they are almost always shot down because "the system" cannot handle it or cannot support it. Things are not well organized here, and people don't share information easily with the people that get affected by changes. The CEO always ends up going with his ideas, and doesn't trust those he's hired (except maybe a select few) to execute plans that could help employees and clients.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Trust your employees, and invest money into your products and improving "the system". Stop using band aids on bullet wounds.
