I have been working at Big 5 part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Great management, willing to work with any type of schedule. As long as you work hard you will get hours. Friendly environment at most stores.

    Cons

No commission, low hours during slow parts of the season, dress shoes...

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus on making the work environment a comfortable place. When your sales team is comfortable the consumer will be as well and will be more likely to purchase an "up-sell".
