    I worked at Bimbo Bakeries full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

    Only pro I enjoyed was my Customers cause they were the only part that made my job better.

    Cons

    Union operated - So you are not allowed to write-up any corrective actions w/o upper management approval or terminate any employee. But, then Upper managment could terminate you as a (Manager) Lead Clerk faster than the employee.. No Breaks ever, No lunches (Good Luck), practice old backdated bookkeeping (not updated w/computers accounting programs), lots of favoritism with Management and associates (cannnot write these certain people up) cause problems for you as a manager. Very poor training for Lead Clerks (Store Manager) only 1 week then thrown into store with no key, code access or meeting your associates.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Upper Management (DM & Regional Mgrs.) needs to communicate more with your Store Manager (Lead Clerks) instead of assuming what you see with your own opinion - ask, seek and be un-bias. Upper management needs to act quickly when Store Managers (Lead Clerks) have serious company issues with employees with letting it go past the 3 day union policy so, that the employee dosen't get written up or terminated for their actions or behaviors.
