    I worked at Bio-Rad Laboratories as a contractor

    Pros

    Bias warning (contract employee)

    Fair treatment of employees. People are nice and easy to get along with. Work-life balance -- people are out of the office by 5.

    Clean and new facilities. Stable and low level of stress on employees.

    Cons

    Seems that the company is not very receptive to change. Constantly hear about slow upward mobility as a trending topic. Talent will look elsewhere, it will sooner or later find out.

    It may be this way due to the products that they deliver. I wasn't with the company long enough to understand the product and market competition.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Communicate management structure difficulties. Upon doing so, you may find that most management employees won title because of length and not results. If that isn't true then find ways to reward high-performers.
