    I worked at BioNano Genomics

    Pros

The location is very nice, philadelphia is a wonderful place to be for the young and single. The company is also in a very dynamic field, so looks good on resume.

    Cons

People seemed overly concerned about covering their asses, to the extent that things seemed to move very slow and in not a cohesive manner. Didn't feel like a startup.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The senior scientists and management need to get along better. There seems to be communication breakdown. Management does not seem to understand science, so senior scientists need to step up.
