    I have been working at Bluegrass Cellular full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    Fair pay. Good benefits. Regular schedule.

    Cons

    Politics. They increase the amount of jobs a department does, but does not increase pay or the amount of staff. This causes unhappiness and high levels of stress. In turn, customer experience suffers. There are cliques in the company. If you're not part of "the group" then you are looked down upon. Guilty until proven innocent for many situations no matter your track record. No way to move up in the company. Must work any Holidays that fall within your weekday schedule. That includes Christmas, Thanksgiving, etc. Staff is too stretched thin since changing to a useless 24/7 format. Most of my coworkers are unhappy all the time, complaining all the time, and currently looking for new jobs as soon as possible. Any customer complaint, whether legitimate or not, can result in a write-up or firing.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    When increasing work load and the amount of jobs a single department takes on, also increase pay and the amount of staff on hand to handle such tasks. Enough of the politics. They only make us suffer. Get to know your employees. When showing graphs at meetings, make sure there is a graph to illustrate how bad changes cause employee unhappiness and relate to a downward spiral of customer experience. The fact that most of the staff is "abandoning ship" asap should be an indication that things are not going in a good direction. Please realize that employee satisfaction makes for a better experience for workers, management, and customers. "Treat the customers like they're your friend." It should also be "Treat your employees like your friends" instead of treating them like their expendable.
