I worked at Bodine Aluminum full-time (more than 3 years)

Fairly laid back environment. Dress is jeans and a tshirt for most workers.

I was considered salaried, but had a mandatory 45 hour work week. I also wasn't allowed to earn any sort of overtime pay. If I needed to take a few hours off to go to the doctor's office, I either had to use vacation time or work the extra hours later. To me this is not a true salaried position. Your paycheck is calculated as an hourly person, they just call you salaried to keep from having to legally pay time and a half. The company policy only says you have to work 40 hours a week but when I brought that up to my manager and HR, they said it was only a guideline that the extra 5 casual hours needed to be done. This burned me because I'd come in an hour before some people yet we'd leave at the same time.
