I worked at Boeing full-time (More than 10 years)
Was rif'd after 30 years plus with the company. Loved working with the people and the technology. Great benefits - severance package, retirement and medical.
Right now the company is in the lets get cheaper younger people to do the work. I have now heard they will be replacing me with a new hire. Management are tied up in meetings all day and my manager never got to know me. In IT it seems as if you get a new manager every year.
Advice to Management
Please value your senior people. They have a lot to offer to the company and the new employees.
