I have been working at Bombardier Transportation full-time (more than an year)

Bombardier Newark has a potential to excel at making the Airtrain an exceptional transportation system. The employees all want to do the best they can to make this happen.

Training is pushed by upper management but due to the training coordinator the training classes are far and few between. When classes are scheduled they are usually canceled. Records of training are very limited and not up to date.
The other problem is material and tool management. The parts inventory is not kept up to date and there are no parts available to fix the trains. Tools are either non existent, broken or of very low quality.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Training should be managed by a professional who puts the training first, who can coordinate with HR so new hires are given the training as soon as possible. Refresher classes need to be done on time so that certifications do not expire.
Materials should have minimum reorder setup so we always have the stock. The tools should be set up so that all are available at all times
