This place is about lying to shoppers and putting unrealistic stress on the staff

    Pros

Meeting good people that love books. Until the store runs them off with pressure.

    Cons

The overpriced so called membership cards that have no value because everything in the store is jacked up in price. These fools charge for WiFi, (who does that?). You are asked to sell these silly cards so the people at the top can get bonuses as the staff member only gets like a .25 cent so called bonus. You will be asked to pressure people to buy a magazine subscription for junk that people don't even buy in the store, just in the hope that people will forget and be charged for the so called free mags......this company lacks ethics and needs to go out of business. Its not about books, its has become a junk store full of more toys, candy, calendars, signs, ....and books that are not for serious adults.

    Advice to Management

Middle management, if you have a college degree like you guys say you do, find a new job because the fools at corporate don't care about you like that don't care about their store staff. I make more money as an engineering intern student then the managers already and I'm still in the middle of my double major degrees in mechatronics and electrical engineering, therefore save yourself feom this dead end place because this culture will never change. Giving advice to senior management is like talking to a wall by the way.
They think they are smart and you are dumb, even if your degree is harder and has more value then thier business degrees with lean sigma 6 black belt non sense.
