I worked at Brafton full-time (more than 3 years)

I think the work life balance is great. At this point Brafton is an established company but it still really feels like a start up. Very laid back. Everyone expects you to do your job, and as long as you do they are very flexible. People work from home fairly often. The key is you need to be willing to work hard and occasionally put in long hours to accomplish what's needed. There were some nights I was there until 7-8 oclock at night working but there were also some nights i was there until 7-8 at night drinking and hanging out with the team. It can be a lot of fun.

In a nut shell, if you are willing to make some sacrifices and put in the time when needed you can move up quickly within the company. They love to promote from within and reward success. Brafton was my first job out of college and over the 4+ years I was there I was promoted 4 times.

In my time there I made many life-long friends and connections, I learned a ton, and I fast tracked my career to a point that for some probably takes a decade and I did it in 4 years. The only reason I left Brafton is because my life took me in another direction and I moved out of state with my wife. I see many more years of success ahead of Brafton and will follow them closely as they continue to grow and improve.

Like any company Brafton faces its challenges. One of the things that I always liked about leadership though was they were always very transparent. About once every month or so a member of senior management talks to the entire company for about an hour and lays out what is going on. In those meetings they will list the key areas where improvement is needed and explain their plan for addressing it. They love getting feedback from their employees, and if they hear the same complaint or issue from enough people it becomes a point of concern that they address.

I think the biggest challenge they have always had, and still do to an extent, is the teams don't communicate as well as they probably should. Sales, account management, creative all sort of lead separate lives within the office and rarely converse. They are working on addressing this but I think it is still a bit of a work in progress.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep doing what your doing. Continue to try and bring the teams together into a more cohesive culture and that will allow your incredibly talented staff to better focus on client success and drive Brafton forward!
