I have been working at Brand Networks full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Lots of different projects to work on.
    Lots of different tech stacks.
Exciting work and ability to learn and grow your skills.
You will never be bored working here.
A lot of very passionate people work here and it's a thrill to work with them.
Great office space, open floor plan and beautiful building in High Falls along Browns Race.
Excellent equipment for engineers, widescreen monitors and macbook pros.

    Cons

Poor benefits and at or below market compensation.
Tight deadlines are common and overtime is expected in order to meet those deadlines. Little has been done to alleviate this and it's become a norm rather than the exception.
Lots of inexperience. Many fresh out of college grads here.
Age discrimination in engineering is readily apparent. Do not bother applying here for an engineering position if you are over the age of 35.
Several re-org's per year. It's not uncommon to switch supervisors several times in one year. You have no say in this even if you like your current supervisor.
Office politics here are a pain. There is most definitely an "inner circle" in engineering. I respect many of the engineers in this inner circle and will say that they are indeed talented engineers. However for those of us on the outside, it's pretty much a given that opportunities in the organization will be given to these people first before anyone outside the inner circle is given a chance... this is regardless of talent, ambition, and experience.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Office politics should not play a role in gaining opportunities within the organization. Do away with the inner circle.
Hire some older experienced engineers. I'm sure there are some out there that would fit within the culture.
Stop the constant reorganizations within engineering. Having three different supervisors in one calendar year is painful.
Benefits need to be improved dramatically.
