Has been very disappointing. Constant promises of positive change have proved to be nothing more than lip service.

I have been working at Bridgestone Global full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Extremely clean work environment. Equipment is top notch and well maintained. Good vacation and sick time benefits. Job is secure and pay is OK.

    Cons

In it's quest to become a "Premier Place to Work", the management of the facility has fallen flat on it's face. Promises of providing better work life / home life balance has been unsuccessful. Mandatory overtime and long hours are still the norm. No opportunity for advancement unless you are in the clique. Poor job performance by "ethnics" seems to be overlooked coupled with a horrible extortion of temporary employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire QUALITY people to help with the workload. Monitor internet usage by on floor supervision. Facebook and dating site use seem highly inappropriate when they should be "supervising". Start listening to instead of just hearing what employees are saying.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
