I have been working at Bridgford Foods full-time

    Pros

Walking out the door and thinking "WHAT A JOKE"

    Cons

Bridgford's Wal-Mart Market Development Manager positon is a total joke and run by a person who has very little real experience and if you don't follow this person's techniques to the letter, you might as well figure you will be out the door as of that Friday. The main problems are 1)You are to sell displays into the stores which have to be generally approved by the store manager 2)You can have an order made but still again it is ultimately up to the store manager to approve 3)Your territory will be large and does it make it hard to get back to those stores where a display was sold and usually a three week time turnaround for product to get to the store and if your not there usually the product will be put if possible anywhere the store feels like and the display will end up either missing or used for other companies products and not Bridgfords. Now here is the fun part you might be out of state when the product comes in so you can figure out the problem(s). The funniest thing I found was this director had never been to the primary state I covered and there was a rep that basically worked by themselves and it took the company a long time to discover the rep really wasn't doing their job correctly. Also be warned they will make you feel like gold in the hiring process and than turn their backs on you when they dismiss you and lie.One last thing this young person has a masters in human resources and I think the "HUMAN" part was forgotten.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

My advice to management and owners is you need to teach your management better training techniques and diversity in the work place.
