I worked with young children and loved the different atmospheres of each daycare I substituted for. Some centers give you free food so you wouldn't have to pay for lunch or bring one from home. Training is free and you get paid for them. Starting pay is good and you get a raise every year. (So I've heard, haven't witnessed it.) Lastly, you pick the days when you want to work.
Mostly full time hours; if you're a college student like me, it would coincide with your school hours. Sometimes the teachers don't respect or look at you (a substitute) as being a real care giver just a body to be in ratio. Some teachers might let you do all the work since they think substituting is so easy. NO BENEFITS. Which honestly is rediculous. Don't get paid for gas money or at times parking.
Advice to Management
Please hire more professional teachers. Some of the teachers are dramatic and like I said, unprofessional. Substitutes should be paid for gas, parking, and should also have benefits. Though most are part time employees, it is not fair for the subs who work full time. Fix the website where the trainings are mostly held, sometimes it works and most times there's some sorts of problem.
