I have been working at Brown Shoe full-time
Great customer base, great foot in the door type job. Have plenty of time to master position if store manager is willing to let you.
Upper management likes to micromanage, too focused on numbers, employee discount is extremely unfair for the work put in, pay is too low for single coverage days each day.
Advice to Management
Pay the employees for the job You want them to do, give time limit on training in smaller volumes. Hold store managers accountable if not met. Lastly, listen to the employees more. Corporate will listen but not each district manager cares about all of their team members.
