I worked at Buffalo Wild Wings part-time (More than 5 years)
Very flexible with schedule. General Manager really cared about individual development. Learned a lot. Coworkers were like a family. Lively environment. Good table turn over. Closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas. Employees who go to work somewhere else always seem to come back to work at BWW.
Ran out of major food items which made it really embarrassing to work some days. Very strict. Mystery shops make you feel like you could lose your job at any second just because there are way too many unrealistic up-selling points that you have to hit (sound like a robot). Lots of food waste. So much good chicken gets thrown away!
Advice to Management
Listen to your employees. If the restaurant isn't running smoothly that night/day, there is a reason why. Don't sit in the back office during food rushes, help your employees out. Make sure you order enough food and Pepsi products so you don't run out. Managers need to communicate with one another to make sure everybody is on the same page.
