I worked at Burbank Water and Power full-time (less than a year)

Friendly work environment, great co-workers, lots of parties, and praise from your leaders and co-workers. I loved working there it was the first time I felt like I fit in and was appreciated.

Rigid work schedule, heavy phones one minute with nothing to do the next, though I never seemed to have too hard of a time finding something to do even if it was cleaning the dust out of the office. Management is not really open to teaching or learning new things.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't praise someone for doing a good job if you are getting ready to fire them. If they are doing something that you don't like, try telling them so they at least have an opportunity to fix the issue before you fire them. Praising someone for their work up until you hand them a letter that tells them they are fired is NOT an appropriate way to do business. In addition if someone is working as a temp though an agency then you should not hire them as a regular employee just to fire them, just let them go as a temp.
