I have been working at CGI as a contractor (More than a year)

A great way to dive into the world of professional consulting. For the young job seeker it's a great way to transform you into a classic tech professional. The management philosophy is decent. Compensation is competitive. Open door policy in most cases makes it easy to learn whatever you want. Great training benefits.

To progress, one must win the competition of the sycophants. CGI itself is in many ways, a big, evil, ruthless corporation. They try very hard to seem philanthropic, but that facade is thin at best.

    Advice to Management

1 - Make it easier for talent to transfer offices. As it stands, the separation between offices goes against CGI's boast of being flexible and accommodating. 2 - The profit participation is being used shamelessly as a carrot to push for difficult growth goals. Instead of all-or-nothing, I think a tiered approach would be better.
