The company is growing and in preparation for the growth or merger it has become top heavy in management and job title, given this and the potential merger some positions may be eliminated after acclimation. Performance appraisals are lengthy and time consuming for employees and management to complete, so they are generally rushed with not a lot of thought.
Advice to Management
Encourage managers to determine employees careers goals and promote from within. Performance appraisals, monthly and quarterly reviews are a good time to communicate employee aspirations. Continue to grow responsibly.
