I worked at CNET Networks full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Good perks, office mixers, continuing education seminars. Good office location with nearby gym and parking and plenty of lunch spots.

    Cons

Bureaucratic, salaries not up to par with going rates, best leaders get poached, leaving second- and third-stringers behind to run the company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get current with modern trends, tech culture, and salaries. Spend less time in meetings and more time getting in touch with what those in the trenches do.
