    Pros

    Good work environment. Mostly good people to work with. Some very good talent in the ranks but still TBD if they will be able to shine due to executive egos that are trying to grab all the victories for themselves. Appears that some of the "old school" executives are finally getting out numbered by employees with knowledge and education and some of the insane decision making of the past isn't occurring as often as it did (See also BakeMark on Glassdoor).

    Cons

    This company will be up for sale in the next few years and the organization is really focusing all of its efforts on preparing for that sale or public offering. As a result, real employee development isn't in place. This place operates more like an advanced "Mom & Pop" shop than a global company. The PE firm that owns the organization (Rhone Capital) appears to be focusing on turning this company vs creating an environment where employees feel that their investment in the company will be rewarded by long term career opportunities and advancement. If more focus was put on employees, you'd see the value and performance of the organization increase rapidly!

    Advice to Management

    The only time we hear from the CEO is regarding our Health Focus initiatives. Other than that, we don't get business updates that really communicate the vision, progress toward achieving the vision and what our end game looks like. We don't receive the business updates that one would expect from an organization that claims to be a Global leader in the industry.

    Some of the executive team members don't even have their phone numbers listed in the corporate phone listing! Why are we operating like we're in the 1960s where we can't have open communication and the executive team isn't really in the trenches with their people? This sends the signal that some people are trying to hide and don't want to be confronted with reality. Why are exceptions like this even allowed???

    Start recognizing employees for the value they bring vs employees just being another expense on the P&L.
