Felt like a maid for the nasty sales associates , a therapist for the supervisors and a errand boy for the management

I worked at Calypso Saint Barth

They offer a decent pay rate and have a good discount for full time and part time employees. All the free water you can drink.

Half hour lunches? Who can order and eat lunch in a half hour in New York? All kind of black out periods for employes, EXCLUDING management. All other "high end" stores open at 10AM, WHY does this company open at 9AM? No customer at that time, no money being made, THEN they have to cut hours to make up for income not being made. They ask you to put a request for days off 2 weeks in advance, then tell you the day before if you are approved for the request. In addition, how does a schedule for the following week go up on a Saturday? To make matters worse, change the schedule on Sunday and not inform employees of the changes, then get upset when an employee wrote down the schedule, had Monday off and call the employee Monday morning to say they should be at work...REALLY?? Typical "cliques" in house, so if your not a brown nose kind of person, you do not get "perks" Management seems to always be quick to tell you the rules & policies, yet are the FIRST to break every one of the rules and policies they just discussed with you. How do you have a break room in the middle of the stockroom and do not enforce that staff, including management clean up after themselves....pest are a problem especially when you leave food for them.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop trying to be friends with staff and do your job. the main focus is pleasing the customer and making money, NOT trying on clothes, gossiping, playing favorites and constantly asking staff to do YOUR job. Treat staff like real people, not bodies filling positions.
