I worked at CameronDoesn't RecommendNegative OutlookDisapproves of CEODoesn't RecommendNegative OutlookDisapproves of CEO
Good Pay, Good food, Flat reporting structure
Anything else and everything else. This company don't have too many projects in hand and they lay off many employees abroad and took replacements for them in India. I was made to sit idle for 6 months period literally without any projects in hand. Everyone is threatened there. Bunch of Engineering managers recruited and some of those fakes on their position with previous employers and joined here as managers. I have seen a drafter from previous employer is now an engineering manager in cameron. Very bad security backup check for recruits. Managers know nothing technical but they will be the bottleneck for any document going out. Reporting Structure is flat but managers will be a hold point for everything that is going out. Those who work on projects will not be involved in project meetings and managers will be the one who is going for it. Its all one way hold point communications and manager will be the bottleneck for everything we do.
This company does not cares for their employees safety. I have been left stranded on road at 10 PM night on Coimbatore because i have not been given an option to travel to my home town which is just 40 kms from Coimbatore. They say its company policy and their scope of transportation is upto coimbatore only. This sickens me.
HR dept is sleeping good always. I have not got my PF transferred from my previous employer which leads to discontinuation of PF of my 6 years service. Also if I withdraw my PF i will lose 10% on total value for Taxes because i withdrew without 10 years minimum service.
All is lost during my tenure with Cameron and i will not recommend any good lads who wants to prove a point at work. This is a company for coimbatorians who dont want to move up the career ladder.
Advice to Management
Recruit good managers, restructure and make employees happy rather than releasing videos of CEO every month that lay offs are inevitable. It just reduces employees interest on work.
