I worked at Campbell Alliance full-time (More than a year)
Can work across breadth of pharmaceutical strategy problems, you don't have to stick to one type of practice area work. Great travel balance-- on average 1/4 weeks, and you can make it clear if you want to stick to local project or if you're open to heavy travel. Upper management may require more travel, yet not more than any consulting firm. Experience can be great if you work on teams with good managers. Competitive salary @ entry to mid level.
Previously private company now publicly owned (Inventiv Group Holdings ultimately) held creates situations where cost-cutting and profitability measures are clear. This has led to recent leaking of talent, and a restructuring effort that was clearly profit-driven and not skill-driven. Again, experience can vary highly depending on who's your manager, and some can suck your life your away while others are mindful of your humanity. More competitive salaries needed @ upper mgmt.
Advice to Management
Create a culture where promotion and bonuses are talent driven. Craft measures that recognizes and retains skilled consultant. More company run events that promote culture would be great too, team dinners, happy hours, and other events were almost always driven by social individuals.
