I worked at Cancer Research UK full-time (More than 3 years)
As my colleagues I am happy to work for a charity especially when this charity is raising money for such a good cause
Where should I start? When I took the job I was so happy. I used to work as a volunteer and I thought to be a manager is great. And it was, for maybe few weeks. And then I didn't have any help, any support at all. I needed to take some time off and I couldn't because it was no one to cover. We used to have some relief managers as it is normal in retail but they have been made redundant. Now company want to employ assistants for 7.5h contract. This must be a joke or who ever took this decision had no clue about this work. We will have some students probably covering for a day, no interest there and will end up working double. High management only cares about saving money, no mAtter the costs. We don't have any rights and can't talk to anyone. We just take orders.
Advice to Management
Employ more staff and you'll make more money!!!!
