Literally one of the worst places to work currently

    • Comp & Benefits
    • Work/Life Balance
    • Senior Management
    • Culture & Values
    • Career Opportunities
Current Employee - Manager in Washington, DC
Current Employee - Manager in Washington, DC

I have been working at Capital Area Food Bank full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Organization has a great mission, you get to work with good people, decent leave benefits

    Cons

How do I start, low pay, an us vs them mentality with administration, Sr. Leadership tends to be incompetent and afraid of the new CEO Ms. Nancy Roman, no room for growth, benefits are unequally distributed to staff with half of the organization receiving full benefits paid by the organization and new employees responsible for paying for half of their benefits.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Personally the best advice that I could give the food bank is to bring the organization back to the way that the Founder Lynn Brantley had it.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
