I have been working at Capital One

    Pros

    Great work/life balance for employees
    Awesome benefits
Above average salary and bonus structure

    Cons

After two recent large acquisitions senior leaders seemed unsure on how to manage a much larger company
Current senior leadership team are not strong leaders to motivate staff and drive results
Lack of strategic vision is causing dissatisfaction among employees, especially as employees are being dinged in year end reviews for lack of results

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take a hard look at the current leadership team and make some changes. Company has to slow the constant disruption as this is not a good way to run a large operation. That type of change is great for strategy teams but not company wide. Also, remember just because someone is smart does not mean they are a good leader. Too many of the leaders, especially in Card Operations, are smart people but horrible leaders.
