    I worked at Care.com full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    I got the opportunity to dabble in mobile which was huge. The leadership has lofty goals, so there were a lot of interesting ideas to chase. I learned a lot. The folks that I worked with were awesome people - hard working and talented.

    Cons

    Most of the execs are rather tactical in their outlook. The CEO is the only one who thinks strategically.

    I can only speak to my salary which I believed was lower than market rate.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Care.com like most companies is not perfect but I believe the CEO, co-founders and the management team are well intentioned/good folks. You see some immaturity but then you also see them trying to make things better/transparent.

    I have every reason to believe that the co-founders are gossipy in a really bad way. It feels like you are in middle school dealing with some of these women. Because of this there is distrust - if you share your concern with any one of them - it will be broadcasted to the CEO, rest of the Mteam, HR and the upper management team. I understand you all are friends but if you are not trust worthy, then what is the point? My advice to the CEO - if your direct reports are gossiping about employees ask them - was this shared in confidence with you? Instead of using the information to penalize the employee - question the leadership you have in place.
