I worked at Carousel Industries full-time (Less than a year)
The company seems to be always growing, always expanding its workforce, so that's encouraging for job security going forward.
Very strange company culture; little to no feedback on performance. I was brought in with 18 years of accounting experience. I was given minimal training in company specifics, including process flow, Carousel's product line, pricing, and the steps involved in Carousel's particular approach to invoicing. After only two months on the job with essentially no training or feedback, I was let go; the only explanation given was that I wasn't a "good fit".
Advice to Management
Communicate more effectively with all levels of the organization. Have a care for how you present to those who reside lower on the food chain. Especially for employees still in the probationary period, if there's any indication that performance needs to improve or that the new person needs to adjust accordingly to "fit" in with the rest of the department, then by all means please say something! Give a person a clue as to what he/she is up against if the person's desire is to stay. Blindsiding a person is incredibly unfair.
