Could be better, probably will get worse. Left on somewhat good terms after 3 years.

I have been working at Cegedim Dendrite full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Decent pay for the region. Relaxed environment, decent benefits. You'll make a lot of friends because the permanent people have been there forever. You'll also make friends with temps that get let go with no warning when they are just getting to be good at their job. They only hire through staffing companies but if you can get on full time after 6 months it's hard to lose your job there. People are there that have been there since the company opened.

You don't have to deal with the general public and you generally have plenty of down time between calls to get work done and there are times during the month where you may go an hour between calls and sit there playing cell phone games and joking with friends.

You work your shift and only your shift. 37.5 hours per week, no overtime unless there is something serious going on. You get paid consistently the same exact amount twice a month. Holidays are paid time off and when the major ones fall on a thursday you get friday off too. You start as a permanent with 2 weeks vacation and 4 floating days to use along with the paid holidays.

End up with the right supervisor and they will throw tasks your way to make you look good to management and take care of you.

QA is based in india right now making it hard to fail.

    Cons

No advancement. There aren't any real IT friendly promotions and when they post jobs they go to the best office politicians. They disqualify you from them on attendance or experience.

They treat some people well and others poorly. If you're not good at politics you'll get killed on phones while the person next to you runs reports doing the supervisor's work while not taking calls at all. Some of their moves seem downright racist or sexist depending on the supervisor.

Time off is easy to get approved depending on management. They will sometimes get it wrong and give 5 people the day off on a very busy day and other times deny your request because 2 people are already off on a very slow day.

End up with the wrong supervisor and they will only talk to you when they have bad news, put you in the position to do a lot of work without thanking you and write you up for things that aren't misbehavior.

Their employee moral building things like free meals and christmas parties and potlucks are getting less and less as the company tries to save money.

Company has an impending buyout and they have cut off pay raises and hiring and as people leave they just cross train you on more clients and make you do the work of more. Some people have 5 or more clients and they sit there taking calls all night every night while the person next to them only has 1 or 2 and they rarely get busy.

Management doesn't stand behind its employees. They have conference calls with clients that talk trash about and curse employees and rather than defend them they agree. Spineless

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Start looking for new jobs for after the buyout when the new company brings in it's own management.
