    I have been working at Cengage Learning full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

    That I have a job. Love the Health insurance pick of Cigna, Love Vacation accrual.

    Cons

    When the company was sold to an equity firm, everything changed. Our incentives were cut and we work just as hard with no financial growth potential. Raises are poor and great incentives were cut. Disappointed in the future growth with this company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    When you want a sincere opinion on the working environment, please do not dismiss it as negative. It's what really happens. MIcro management is the worst. No growth potential, managers need to be removed, retire, reassigned. There is no thinking out of the box, because our managers won't let us. SOme employees, those that are liked and long term have different rules than some. No advancement, no room for great thinking or ideas because it is shot down by power driven managers. Managers who protect the worst employees and H.R. protects from discrimination by allowing some to have "better working environment" without any recourse.
