I have been working at Ceridian full-time (Less than a year)

Good culture, friendly people, talented people. Company culture is a reflection of top management approach to work, life, and customers. Pay and benefits package seems designed to be competitive but no more. The company is growing and changing and all employees are encouraged to speak up to management. Management is very approachable. Ceridian accommodates flexible work schedules. The pace is quick but very fair, which keeps things stimulating and interesting! There are a lot of long-term employees even in the IT / software development areas which churn people faster which indicates that people can stay happy here a long time.

Not enough paid time off--15 days and no negotiating for more, even for new employees who are going backward and losing time off. No sick time--you need to use your "paid days off". Sick child or sick spouse or whatever comes up? -- use your 15 days--which means a person effectively gets maybe a week and a half of vacation per year. Not enough $$ for professional development. No program for professional development. (There is, however, a mentor program--which amounts to OTJ training.). I just paid $445 and 2 vacation days for a professional conference that is directly related to my job out of my own pocket.

    Advice to Management

Revise the time off policy -- the stingy vacation policy makes no sense. Otherwise allow employees to "buy" vacation via the flexible benefits enrollment. Keep doing a great job growing the company and encouraging participation of everyone.
