    I have been working at Cerner full-time (More than a year)


    You learn a lot. Projects come quickly, and teams are generally willing to help you get things figured out when joining. You work with a lot of people, teams and organizations. The benefits are well-worth the monthly deductions, and there is a gym at each campus.


    You will often work 60+ hours a week, and no overtime if you're on salary. There are releases and projects which go live at all hours of the night, and you may often be asked to be a part of those. Internal teams lack visibility. Raises are based on tenure rather than merit, and are awarded in 2 year cycles. There are no bonuses. Teams are often inexperienced due to high associate turnover.

    Advice to Management

    Focus on retaining quality workers, rather than a high turnover rate/lower salary strategy.
