I have been working at Change.org full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Change.org is an amazing company, full of amazing people, doing amazing things.

If you have initiative and get results then the personal and professional growth opportunities are limitless.

Change.org's mission is an amazing one, and it's one that the whole organisation is aligned around. It informs every decision and motivates every person there.

It's an amazing global team. The stories you hear from colleagues around the world are jaw dropping -- some of the worlds most most inspiring change makers call Change.org home and makes for a vibrant and amazing (sometimes intimidating) team. I'm in the campaigns team, and the talent in that team is phenomenal.

    Cons

Global team and attempting to be a truly global organisation means sometimes strange working hours to accommodate for different timezones.

Every dollar we earn we try to put to work, so it sometimes feels like money is tight!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The company has come a long way in the last few years in narrowing its focus, but could still improve on this front.

We've grown globally very quickly, and had to put in place a lot of processes to manage that. Have to be careful that those processes don't become too burdensome and stifle the creative innovation that has got Change.org to where it is today.
